With over 40 years of combined experience in Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, Firefighting and Emergency Management, including direct response or support to every major disaster in the country for the last ten years, 2K Emergency Management has the ability to support its customers with a very comprehensive approach to Public Safety. We are a family owned business and like to get to know our customers so that we can provide the best possible services.
Kim L. Ketterhagen
Mr. Kim Ketterhagen is a 37 year Public Safety professional who has practiced his profession across all of the primary response disciplines. He currently co-owns and operates 2K Emergency Management consulting company. Mr. Ketterhagen has not only sharpened his skills by attending some of the premier training facilities in the nation, but has a very diverse, hands-on background.
This background includes service as a professional Firefighter and Firefighter training instructor, Emergency Medical Technician, Municipal and County Law Enforcement Officer, as well as Multi-state certified as an Emergency Manager.
Mr. Ketterhagen retired from the Minnesota Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management after 17 years of service as the State Logistics Chief and Mutual Aid coordinator which included being the state’s EMAC Coordinator. Mr. Ketterhagen also has been involved at the national level with EMAC serving as its National Chairmen of the Executive Task Force, and with FEMA on a number of Mutual Aid and Resource development working groups.
Mr. Ketterhagen is currently the liaison for the National Emergency Management Association (NEMA) to the National Guard Bureau (NGB) J-3 Operations and U.S. Northern Command J-9 JIACG. He also services as the NEMA trainer for Federal agencies just as FEMA National Response Coordination Center, FEMA Regional Resource Coordinations centers, National Guard Bureau, and USNORTHCOM.
Melanie graduated from Concordia Univerisity with degrees in Criminal Justice Management and Management and Communications. Melanie is a veteran of the Wisconsin Air National Guard. She has also worked in the private sector as a Business Analyst and Project Manager. She holds a certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Early on Melanie developed an interest in Emergency Management and became a trained storm spotter while still in high school and took Emergency Management classes.
Terry is a Registered Nurse who has worked in the healthcare industry for more than thirty years, with experience in hospitals, home health, nursing homes, and clinics. She is a Certified Bariatric Nurse Educator, and a Certified Asthma Educator.
